About Rhual Dairy

Since 2001, Rhual Dairy has been at the heart of the farming community near Mold in North Wales. Our 220-hectare farm is home to 336 Holstein Friesians, producing an average of 8,400 litres of milk per cow each year.

We combine efficient milk production with sustainable practices, from renewable energy systems to advanced facilities that support animal welfare. At Rhual Dairy, we’re committed to protecting the land, caring for our herd, and continually improving for a resilient future.

Exceptional Animal Welfare

Animal welfare is at the core of everything we do at Rhual Dairy. Our animals benefits from advanced facilities designed to reduce stress and promote health, including ventilated housing, spacious calving sheds, and optimised feeding systems.

By prioritising their wellbeing, we ensure our cows thrive, producing high-quality milk while maintaining a low replacement rate. Healthy, contented cows are not just better for productivity—they are integral to our commitment to ethical and sustainable farming.

Our Approach to Sustainability

Every decision we make is guided by our commitment to protecting the environment while maintaining a productive and resilient farm. From renewable energy systems like solar PV and thermal technologies to strategic grazing practices, we aim to minimise our environmental impact and promote biodiversity.

Crop rotation helps maintain healthy soils, while natural pest control methods reduce the need for chemicals, ensuring a thriving ecosystem for future generations.
